Sugar
2/13/04 - Sugar is making plans to leave on Valentine’s Day to be with her new family. Sugar will be traveling to N.J. on February 14th. Her new family will be traveling to North Carolina on Friday, February 13th and staying in Lexington the night of the 13th and picking up Sugar on Saturday, 14th.
2/21/04 - I received an email today from Sugar’s family in New Jersey. Sugar is doing great and is loved very much. Sugar cried some of a night, which is natural. She just would not give up on her crying at night, until her family took her to their room to sleep. Sugar now has a blanket in their bedroom that she sleeps on of a night and she goes to bed about 11pm and gets up around 6am or 7 am. She sleeps and does not go out until that time in the morning. Great Job, Sugar! Sugar is loved very much by her family. Below is part of the email that Diane send.
Quote from email “The kids love her and she's a very happy puppy. She's extremely affectionate also. Our vet gave her shot and she didn't even flinch. Her temperament is great.” Unquote
2/27/04 - I received an email today from Sugar’s family in New Jersey. Diane wrote, quote “Have some new things to report. Sugar can speak in four languages now!!! Seriously, she's really smart.” unquote. Sugar is doing really well. She does not like be confined in the play yard, but is really doing well with her family in New Jersey. She has being potty training very well. She sleeps in their bedroom of a night and does not mess until she is taken out in the morning. She holds it during the times that the family are away from the house. Sam (Sheltie) is still not adjusted to have a young pup around that wants to run after him and bite at his fur and legs. You know how it is with kids adjusting, well, Sam is no different. Sam is very sweet for putting up with the young lady and being patience with her. But all is going well and as with any puppy it will take time and patience and the family has really been great with it. Keep up the great work! It will be worth it! Thanks for all the updates.
03/02/04 I received and email for Sugar’s family. The email stated, quote, “The cutest thing happened yesterday. I took Sugar out for a walk and of course she was the perfect angel, and I said to her, "Do you want a treat?" She immediately ran into the kitchen and sat and gave me her paw without my even asking. She knew that was the routine!!! She's so smart!! We took her to the park and took GREAT pictures. We'll send them this weekend. She's getting tall!” unquote It sounds as if Sugar is doing great and loved very, very much. I do believe that Sugar is a very happy and loved pup, maturing into a very special and beautiful young lady.
04/02/04 - I received and email from Diane and she said, “Sugar is doing great. She's getting so big!! We all love her so much! Below are some pictures that Diane sent me. They are beautiful. Sugar is a very beautiful Sheltie and is loved very much by her family. Thanks, Diane for the email and pictures.

08/14/04 - I received and email from Diane and she said: Quote “Sugar is doing GREAT!!!! She's a monster. She chews everything in sight especially cardboard, paper and shoes. She's so tall she can jump on the couch and take a nap, which has always been forbidden but she's too cute!! She's such an outside dog. Our dog, Sam, only wants to be outside to go to the bathroom. Sugar cries to just hang out outside!! She's so beautiful. She looks a lot like Rose but she is actually more beautiful, believe it or not. She's stunning actually.” unquote.
08/15/04 Quote “I'll send a picture soon. She really is beautiful. Much more beautiful than our first and many we have seen. She's a face dog...what I mean by that is that she gets really close to your face, looks right at you and licks you. She loves faces. She is so, so affectionate!! Anytime anyone comes over or she goes to the vet she thinks EVERYONE there is there for her!!! She kisses everyone and is just such a happy dog. It's awful...when she does something she shouldn't she is just so damn cute you can't get crazy!!!!! We love her so much!!!! I promise to send a picture!!” unqote
Thanks so very much, Diane for the update. So glad you and your family are enjoying Sugar and have given her such a good home. Looking forward to the pics.

Email from Sugar and Penny's Family in Ocean, NJ:
Quote "Hey Bonnie! I'm just emailing you to let you know how well sugar and penny are doing!!! And I'm sending you some pictures. I love them so much, and there doing great! Sugar actually became almost a mother for Penny. She's very protective of Penny, and also when Penny does something wrong Sugar takes the blame. They are amazing dogs, I love them so much! It's really cute when Penny actually kisses sugar and sometimes she falls asleep on Sugar and it's so cute! They play together all day, and Penny is very different from any other dog and so is Sugar. Sugar is the sweetest dog, and she is so even tempered and she really is an amazing dog. And Penny is hysterical! She eats everything!!!! She eats our wood floors, when our other dog Sammy was alive he was taking pain killers for his arthritus and the bottle fell on the ground and Penny chewed through the cap and ate all the pills, we had to bring her to the hospital immediately and they had to give her a shot to throw up! She also eats our shoes, she's eating our christmas tree skirt, she just loves to chew! She always has her mouth open! She is smaller than Sugar, we think she may be a little runt, but she's the best she's soooo cute and we love her so much! Penny also howls like a wolf and it's so funny! She loves attention and if she doesn't get it she starts wining it's funny. But she is such a sweetheart, they both are! All I can say is that you make amazing puppies! They are the best dogs, and if I can buy all your puppies I would because they are so good! We really love you to for being so good, and being an amazing breeder! Sugar and Penny are just the best and we love them so much, and we are so lucky we found you, you're an amazing breeder! Here are some cute pictures I took and some of them have my scarfs and earmuffs on the dogs and it's so adorable!" Unqoute

But she's still the runt, but she's our precious baby and we are all so happy we got her and she's an amazing dog. Sugar is doing awesome as well and she is such a unique dog and she really is very special to us they both are. We love how unique their personalities are and I love bragging and showing pictures of my babies to everyone!!! You are a miracle worker with your dogs and they are all amazing and they really are the best dogs! I recommend you to every person that says they want a sheltie! We are so lucky to have sugar and penny, and sometimes I even love them more than people haha (quite often haha). They are the sweetest dogs and we are so thankful that we found you when we got sugar and we wouldn't get shelties any other place, we are an official all sheltie family haha." unquote
Email from Sugar's family sent on 6/2/14: Quote "here are some new pics of the dogs!!! penny's bday is soon and sugar is doing great and both are healthy and we love them as you know" unquote. (Pictures above sent by Sugar's family)
It is with great sadness that I have to post this message. Beautiful Sugar left her family in August 2015. The family is broken hearted that they had to send an email stating that she is only with us in memory. Sugar was a wonderful Sheltie and a great family member. Sugar's family (her sister Penny (tri-colored) Sheltie and Daisy (sable and white) Sheltie. Penny misses her sister and now will have to take charge of teaching Daisy. I have no doubt that Sugar taught Penny well and Penny will do a great job with Daisy. I am sure that the memories of Sugar will go on with her wonderful family. The family sent the following pictures of Sugar, Penny and Daisy during her last days with them. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this hard time and the future.
