Quote "We love the puppy and have named him Khia-thie`. Not certain about the spelling though. It is a Kiowa word meaning commander - general- the one in charge. He responded to the name quite easily.
Did you teach him to sit? I started teaching him with a puppy biscuit and also used this method to encourage eye contact. During the second little session, I was so amazed that he actually looked me in the eye and sat. Now when we go into the kitchen, he goes to where I keep the puppy biscuits, looks at me and sits. He's waiting for his puppy biscuit. Shelties are very smart.
